The Dress

A modern approach to a classic silhouette- I had two layers of petticoat removed so this original ballgown would fall more like a A-line gown. 3D flowers wrap around the entire bodice of this gown with sheer layers of tulle and a sweetheart neckline. The dress was designed to be strapless but I had detachable off the shoulder sleeves added that matched the 3D flowers on the dress to give it a more romantic feel. I also had the seamstress add in detachable spaghetti straps to give me another way to style the dress. From the waist, the tulle skirt extends into a slimmed down ballgown, embellished with 3D flowers, sparkle tulle and sequins, creating an incredible sparkle and unique texture. A slight train, complete with lace hem, finishes the look. The back of this modern ballgown with 3D flowers zips up beneath crystal buttons.

Alterations

Bust and waist slightly taken in but the seamstress made it easy to restore the dress to the original size. I am 5’3 and wore 3 1/2 inch heels and had the dress hemmed to the floor. Hidden 5 point bustle added. Stretchy corset added to make the dress more comfortable to wear strapless.
